As a final year journalism student specialising in print media creating a concept and seeing it from start to finish is a massive part of my course.
During my first semester of third year at the University of Central Lancashire we were all tasked with creating a magazine supplement. This included thinking of a concept, finding a gap in the market and producing everything from content to design.
I looked at myself and thought about what type of magazine I would want to read, which read to the creation of Stive.
Strive is a magazine for graduates and young people looking to move up the ladder of life. It offers insight into graduate success, gives advice on the likes of job applications and how to further yourself. But it is also fun and vibrant, making adulthood seem a little less scary.
After a few jam packed weeks of production I handed my assignment in and was delighted to be graded with a high first (81) for it.
I am so proud of what I have created and I honestly think there is a gap in the market for a product like this.
